(Richmond)- People on the SNAP program will receive additional emergency benefits very soon. Officials say people will qualify if they currently do not get the maximum amount of food stamps with their monthly benefits. People will begin to see the benefits automatically loaded onto their EBT cards beginning on August 16th. It is unclear if the extra benefits will continue past this month.
