(Richmond)- Emergency benefits are being given to Virginia Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program participants. The resources will be available to any household not already receiving maximum benefits. The funds will be automatically loaded to Electronic Benefits Transfer cards. People will receive the extra money in March and April. Over 680-thousand people receive SNAP benefits in Virginia.
