The Velveteen Rabbit, filled with gentle humor and warmth, is Margery Williams’ classic tale of a toy rabbit that dreams of becoming real. Told with hand puppets, storytelling, and song by a solo puppeteer, the story highlights friendship, changes, magic, and what it means to love and be loved. A popular show for the young and young at heart, it is of particular interest to children and their parents, youngsters learning to read, and anyone who has ever had a favorite stuffed toy. Designated a “Helen Hayes Awards Recommended” production.

Puppeteer Christopher Hudert is an employee of Riverside and cofounder of Applause Unlimited. He has a Theatre Education from VCU and attended Ringling Brothers Clown College. He traveled with the circus for nine years. We are thrilled to have him on our team.
