Hailed by the Free Lance-Star as Fredericksburg’s “Official Kick-Off to summer,” Rock the River is now celebrating its 5th year! Planned and organized by a group of local partner organizations, the event offers opportunities for local vendors to meaningfully engage with the community. Musicians, food vendors, craft breweries, artists, and community organizations participate to network, present their products to the public, and to show their support of the community. In conjunction with exhibitors and vendors, activities will be hosted all day long, including a canoe & kayak race, a mountain bike time trial, a trail running/walking race, a scavenger hunt adventure, climbing wall, face painting, and more. Excluding the beer garden, the Rock the River event is free to everyone; this illustrates the event’s commitment to family-friendly, fun, and inclusive experiences for everyone.
