VA-based singer, songwriter, guitarist and cultural chameleon Brookhouse brings his band with him to Curitiba Art Cafe on Thursday April 30 as the first performance in a monthly residency.
With a Cuban-American mother and lifelong Virginian father, Brookhouse draws from every piece of his heritage to create a sound that celebrates every flavor in the American melting pot. Danceable, vulnerable songs about unrequited love flow seamlessly into catchy protest anthems – every emotion is represented, and many cultures too. Despite this variety, there is a common thread: wherever you’re from, you contain multitudes.
