(DC)- Senator Mark Warner is calling for an investigation into the widely popular TikTok app. He said that lawmakers have been told for several years that its parent company hasn’t had open access to user data. A recent report by Buzz-Feed News revealed that Byte-Dance gained access to sensitive data earlier this year. Warner joined fellow Senator Marco Rubio in asking the Federal Trade Commission to look into the claims.
