(Richmond)- Virginia is trying to be the first Southern state to legalize marijuana for recreational use. Governor Northam says he will bring up a plan in next year’s legislative session to do so. He says the process could take up to two years to complete, but he believes that it will happen. At least 15 states have already legalized the drug, and more than half of them allow it for medical uses.
