(Richmond)- Four gun related bills are headed to the State Senate. The bills would expand background check requirements to include private sales, restore the state’s one handgun per month purchase law, allow restrictions by local government officials in public areas and near permitted events and to create a “red flag” law to remove guns from people who pose a threat to themselves and others.
