Dominion Files Permit to Demolish Downtown Richmond Tower

(Richmond)- An office tower in downtown Richmond could soon be demolished. The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports Dominion Energy filed permits yesterday to implode its 40-year-old office building on Cary Street. The company has already started moving employees into a new 20-floor tower on East Canal Street, while a second new tower is possible in the future. Dominion officials say they’ll decide later this year whether or not to move forward with construction of the second tower, so the implosion permits were filed as a precaution.
