(Alexandria)- Virginia Tech will open a new innovation campus in Northern Virginia, close to Amazon’s new headquarters in Arlington. The one-million square foot graduate campus will be located in Alexandria’s Potomac Yard. The campus will be part of a development in National Landing and will include academic classrooms and “incubator space” for new startups and research and development. A new Metro station is also being developed on the Yellow and Blue lines at the south end of the property. Virginia Tech says the 15-acre campus will enroll its first students in 2020.
