(DC)- Officials are working to save a historic mulberry tree on the grounds of the Washington Monument that became uprooted over the weekend.  The National Parks Service says the tree toppled over due to oversaturated soil following heavy rain.  The tree predates the dedication of the Washington Monument, which was in 1885.  NPS says crews are weighing options on how to save the tree.
