(Stafford)- Protests are being planned at Stafford County’s school board meeting tonight after a transgender student was turned away from her middle school’s locker rooms. The student identifies as a female, but was barred from both the male and female locker rooms during a safety drill designed to prepare students for school shootings. She was told to sit on the bleachers in the gym while teachers figured out where to place her. The superintendent requested that all protocols be reviewed to make sure all children are treated with dignity and respect.
