(Richmond)- Virginia is in a state of emergency ahead of Hurricane Florence’s expected arrival on the East coast. Governor Northam has encouraged Virginians to closely monitor forecasts and make preparations for possible impact. The National Weather Service is currently predicting landfall somewhere along the Carolinas as early as Thursday evening. The coast and interior of the state could see significant flooding depending on the storm’s track.
