Virginia Using Volkswagen Settlement Money For Electric-Car Charging

(Richmond)- Virginia will be using millions from a legal settlement with Volkswagen to build and operate a network of electric-vehicle charging stations. Governor Northam says LA firm EVgo was selected to develop the network across the commonwealth. The state will cover its share of the partnership with 14-million-dollars from a 93-million settlement with Volkswagen over a diesel emissions cheating scandal.
