(King George)- Crews are dismantling the old Harry Nice Bridge over the Potomac River. More dismantling is scheduled for Monday or Tuesday next week. Bridge removal work is expected to continue through next year, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority. The new bridge between Dahlgren and Charles County, Maryland, opened to traffic in mid-October.
