(DC)- On Capitol Hill, the House Oversight Committee voted to advance legislation to make D.C. a state. A full vote is expected in the House next week. If passed by the House and Senate, D.C. would be called ‘Washington, Douglass Commonwealth,’ becoming the 51st state.
