(Culpeper)- State Police are reviewing a deputy-involved fatal shooting in Culpeper County. It happened yesterday morning when the Sheriff’s Office was called to a house for a welfare check. They responded to find a man angry, he ran back inside and barricaded himself. As deputies tried to talk to him, he came out with a gun, fired it and then pointed it at officers. That’s when a deputy opened fire and struck the man identified as 44-year-old Donald Hairston. State Police are taking the lead in this investigation.
