(Spotsylvania)- A Spotsylvania woman is heading to prison for embezzling thousands of dollars from a local affordable housing group. Connie Jones was serving as executive director of the Central Virginia Housing Coalition when she funneled 36-thousand-dollars into her pockets in 2015 and 2016. Investigators say she gave the money to three family members. A judge ordered her to serve four-and-a-half years in prison this week and to pay the money back.
