Suspects Apprehended after Stealing a vehicle and pursuit in Spotsylvania

From The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office:

On February 12, 2019, Deputies responded to 11000 block of Roosevelt Road at approximately 2:45am in reference to a stolen vehicle after the homeowner noticed his 2012 Honda sedan  missing from the driveway prior to him leaving for work.

 

Deputies began canvassing the area and spotted the stolen vehicle within minutes traveling in the neighborhood.  Deputies noticed several occupants in the vehicle which took off at a high rate of speed.  Several deputies pursued the vehicle throughout the neighborhood and area businesses in the Rt3 corridor.  The stolen vehicle crashed in the 4200 block of Plank Road. Three occupants fled from the vehicle and ran in different directions.  After several different foot pursuits all three suspects were apprehended.

 

The driver, De’Jon Tyrone Carr twenty-seven years of age of Spotsylvania was arrested for receiving stolen property, fleeing from law enforcement and causing or encouraging acts rendering children delinquent.  Charges are pending further investigation for the seventeen year old male front seat passenger and twenty-six year old female rear seat passenger.
