(Undated)-  A new type of tick is popping up in Maryland and Virginia.  Wildlife officials say the invasive Asian Longhorned Tick has found its way into nine states.  This species of tick can produce thousands of eggs without a mate.  Experts say these ticks remain active in the winter as long as they are attached to a warm blooded host and recommend folks check themselves and dogs when going into the woods.
