(Arlington)- Washington-Lee High School in Arlington is being considered for a name change. A committee suggested renaming the school last week to Washington-Loving in honor of a couple who fought an interracial marriage ban in Virginia. The school board voted earlier this year to remove Confederate general Robert E. Lee’s name. A vote on the name is expected in January. The Lovings lived in Caroline County.
