World War I and America Presents “The Great War from the Margins: WWI Literature by Women and African Americans”

Mara Scanlon, Professor of English at the University of Mary Washington, will give a short presentation and lead a discussion of less-traditional World War I literature, including pieces from the Library of America. This program is part of “World War I and America,” a two-year initiative of Library of America presented in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and other organizations, with generous support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
