(Richmond)- Governor Northam is ordering four National Guard soldiers from Virginia and one helicopter to be recalled from the border between the U.S. and Mexico. Northam says the move is in response to the federal government’s enforcement of a zero-tolerance policy that separates immigrant children from their families. Northam joins a growing number of United States governors in pulling National Guard troops, including North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper.
