(Richmond)- The Virginia Chamber of Commerce has awarded Stafford Delegate Bob Thomas with the “Transportation Free Enterprise Award” for what it called his pro-business leadership and support of the principles and initiatives outlined in the Chamber’s long-term economic development plan, Blueprint Virginia 2025, during the 2018 General Assembly session.

“We are pleased to recognize Delegate Thomas for his work to make Virginia the best state for business,” said Barry DuVal, president and CEO of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. “The recommendations in Blueprint Virginia 2025 outline the business community’s plan to put us on track for long-term economic growth. The support of public policy leaders is key to ensuring Virginia continues to grow and prosper, and we are thankful for Delegate Thomas’ leadership.”

“I am grateful for this recognition of my work and the Chamber’s shared commitment to foster economic growth and improve traffic congestion throughout the 28th District and our Commonwealth,” said Thomas. “Addressing growing congestion on our roads and supporting economic development in our region continue to be top legislative priorities of mine. Ensuring Virginia has a robust and up-to-date transportation system is vital in growing our economy and keeping Virginia moving forward, and I will continue to promote legislation and policies that support our shared values and get positive

results for our region.”
