FREDERICKSBURG – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will have overnight single lane closures on Route 630 (Courthouse Road) between Lynhaven Lane and Monument Avenue in Stafford County next week, as crews install a temporary drainage pipe underneath the road.

Traffic will be down to one lane on Courthouse Road near the Augustine subdivision for approximately a half-mile in both directions the nights of Tuesday, Jan. 18 and Wednesday, Jan. 19 from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. All travel lanes will be open by 5:30 a.m.

Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone as crews install a shallow pipe to facilitate temporary drainage under Courthouse Road.  Work will continue along the roadway for the next few weeks, but will not require any additional lane closures.
